  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for searing)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Form mixture into oval patties about 1 inch thick with a slight indentation in the center.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove patties and add flour to the skillet drippings; whisk to combine. Gradually stir in beef broth and soy sauce until gravy thickens.
  5. Return patties to skillet and simmer in gravy for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
