- 1 cup sweet cornmeal
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onions and minced garlic; sauté until translucent (3-4 minutes).

- In another bowl, combine cornmeal, baking powder, milk, and half the cheese until smooth.
