  • 1 Ribeye Steak (1 lb)
  • 2 tbsp Black Peppercorns (cracked)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 3 Garlic Cloves (smashed)
  • 1 cup Low-Sodium Beef Broth
  • Salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Let the ribeye steak rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add oil and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side until desired doneness.
  3. In the last minute of cooking, add smashed garlic and butter; baste the steak with melted butter.
  4. Remove the steak and let it rest. In the same skillet, add beef broth and scrape brown bits from the pan.
  5. Stir in cracked peppercorns and heavy cream; simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened. Season with salt.
  6. Slice the rested steak against the grain and drizzle with sauce before serving.
