- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash ripe bananas until smooth. Stir in melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the banana mixture; stir gently until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar (mix of cinnamon and granulated sugar) then layer the remaining batter on top. Swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool before slicing.
