Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag Nacho Cheese Doritos (about 9.5 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable or canola oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by setting up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  2. Gently open a Dorito and stuff it with about 1 tablespoon of shredded cheese.
  3. Dip each stuffed Dorito first into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat it thoroughly in breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat about two inches of oil in a pot over medium-high heat until it reaches approximately 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the stuffed Doritos in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Avoid overcrowding the pot.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm with dipping sauce like salsa or guacamole.
