Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (or desired filling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Scoop dough into muffin tin, filling each cup halfway and creating an indent in the center.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain slightly underbaked.
  6. Once cooled slightly, deepen the indentations and fill with melted chocolate or preferred filling.
  7. Allow to cool completely before serving.
