  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the Yukon Gold potatoes, then cut them into equal-sized chunks.
  2. Place the potato chunks in a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, adding a pinch of salt. Cook for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes in a colander and let them sit for a few minutes to steam dry.
  4. Return the drained potatoes to the pot over low heat and add the unsalted butter. Mash until smooth.
  5. Gradually stir in the heavy cream until desired consistency is reached. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
