  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Irish whiskey
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  3. Add onions and garlic to the skillet; sauté until translucent.
  4. Pour in whiskey, scraping the bottom to deglaze. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in chicken broth and then add heavy cream; simmer for another 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over top, and cook on low for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley.
