  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs (skin-on)
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 green onions (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (toasted)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Place chicken thighs in a resealable bag or bowl and pour half of the marinade over them. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Arrange marinated chicken skin-side up on the baking sheet and brush with remaining marinade.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and skin is crispy.
  6. Allow resting for five minutes before garnishing with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
