  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar (dark)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate kisses (milk or dark)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture without overmixing.
  6. Fold in half of the chocolate kisses; reserve the rest for topping.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized scoops onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain slightly underbaked.
  9. Press a chocolate kiss into each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
  10. Allow cooling slightly before transferring to wire racks.
