  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
  2. Gradually add flour and knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area until doubled (about 1 hour).
  4. Meanwhile, crush the chocolate cookies and mix with softened butter, sugar, and cinnamon.
  5. After rising, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle. Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
  6. Roll tightly from one long side to form a log and cut into 12 equal pieces; place cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
  7. Let rise again for about 30-40 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before drizzling with cream cheese frosting.
