- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add fettuccine and cook until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the Asparagus: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add chopped asparagus and sauté for about 3-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Add Garlic: Stir in minced garlic during the last minute of cooking the asparagus until fragrant.
- Combine: Add cooked pasta to the skillet along with remaining butter and lemon juice. Toss everything together until well-coated.
- Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, and serve immediately while warm.
