- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 large Eggs (plus 1 additional for cheesecake)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Butter, melted
- 1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 cup Water (as per cake mix instructions)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, combine red velvet cake mix, 2 eggs, melted butter, and water. Mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese until creamy. Gradually add sugar, then incorporate the extra egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour half of the red velvet batter into the prepared pan. Dollop cheesecake mixture on top and cover with remaining red velvet batter. Swirl with a knife or toothpick.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until set in the center. Cool completely before slicing into bars.
