  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup heart-shaped sprinkles (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Mix in the egg and vanilla until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in half of the heart-shaped sprinkles and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Sprinkle remaining sprinkles on top, then bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
